Brian D. “Bubba” Short, age 35, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley in Beaver.

     Born December 9, 1981 in Kittanning, he is the son of Dan Short and Karen Roudybush Kimmell.

    He was a resident of the McGuire Memorial community in New Brighton, Beaver County, where he attended church and school. 

    Bubba, known as a “social butterfly”, was very active in the events and training at McGuire Memorial. He enjoyed swimming, music and the outdoors.

     He will be greatly missed by his family and the staff and residents of McGuire Memorial.

    Bubba leaves behind his parents:  Dan Short (Rhonda Nugent) of Rimersburg and Karen Kimmell (Tom Troup) of Fairmount City; a sister, Michelle Short of Rimersburg; his nephew, Jesse Rosario-Adams, Jr. (Julia Logan) and great nephew, Jayce.

     Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Lyle Westover officiating.

     Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Distant, Armstrong County.
