Frances M. Young Hollobaugh, age 79, of New Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday evening, October 25, 2017 at her home, following an illness.

     Born May 29, 1938 in Oak Ridge, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Carrie M. Bish Young.  She graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in the Class of 1957.

     She married Richard Y. Hollobaugh on November 2, 1957.

    Frances worked as a cook for various restaurants in the New Bethlehem area and as a clerk for Goodwill.

     She loved to cook and plant her garden and flower beds.

     Survivors include her husband, Richard; one son, Richard W. Hollobaugh and his wife, Kimberly, of New Bethlehem; two daughters:  Pamela M. Scherer of Jacksonville, Florida and Lorie K. Sadowski and her husband, Joe, of Penfield; four grandchildren:  Carrie, Krista, Steive and Kaylee and three great grandchildren, Jayden, Gracie and Maxwell.

    Frances is also survived by a brother, Emery A. Young of Strattanville and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen M. Daly and five brothers:  Robert D. Young, Russell E. Young, William V. Young, Harry W. Young and Hilton C. Young.

    At Frances request, there will be no calling hours.

     A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, Oak Ridge Road, Oak Ridge, with the Reverend Cindy Duffee and Reverend Tom Young co-officiating.

    Interment will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Oak Ridge.
