Kenneth L. George, age 97 of Clarence, New York and formerly of Shippenville, passed away on October 6, 2017 in New York.

     Born June 12, 1920 he was a son of the late Robert Russell George and Grace Ruth Clever George.

     He married the former Betty Jane Sherman and she preceded him in death.

     Kenneth was the beloved father of Donald L. (Dot) and (late Judy) George, Linda N. (Michael) Burkhardt, Joseph R. (late Beverly) George, Judy (Kermitt) McGary and the late Nancy (late Robert) Ceranski Simonson; loving brother of Loretta (late William) Wedekind, late Carl (late Edith) George, late Arthur Lyn George, and late Catherine Chewning; also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews

Friends will be received Saturday, October 7th at the Shephard Bros. Funeral Home in Clarence, NY and from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

     Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Randy Hopper, associate pastor of the First Church of God of New Bethlehem, officiating.

     Interment will follow in the Alcola Trinity Cemetery in Fairmount City.
