Nancy Wyant, age 88, of New Bethlehem, passed away early Saturday morning, February 10, 2018 at her home following an illness.
Born December 8, 1929 in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late James and Ellen Burns Douds.
Nancy worked for Hawthorn Pipe Fittings for 20 years and was a past member of the Rockville Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed baking, traveling, ice skating and swimming along with square dancing, playing cards and fishing.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 72 years, Roy Edsel Wyant, whom she married on October 2, 1945; one son: Robert C. Wyant and his wife, Judith, of Fenelton; six grandchildren: Jackie Myer and her husband, Greg, of Slippery Rock; Wendy Wyant of Ross Township; Tracy Milliron of Oak Ridge; Timothy Wyant of Rimbersburg; Charles Wyant and his wife, Renae, of New Bethlehem and Todd Wyant and his wife, Jamie, also of New Bethlehem.
She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Ernest R. Wyant, in 1969.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Nancy’s grandson, Charlie Wyant and Pastor Dan George co-officiating over the services.
Interment will follow in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
