Nina Joanne (Sweet) Raybuck

March 25, 1937 ~ March 30, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old


 

Nina Joanne Raybuck, age 80, of Shippenville, passed away Thursday morning, March 30, 2017 at UPMC Northwest Hospital at Seneca.


Born March 25, 1937 in North Ridgeville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dyer Nichols Sweet and Nina Mae Williams Sweet of North Ridgeville, Ohio.

 

She married Robert C. Raybuck on June 16, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2014.


Joanne was a loving and devoted wife and mother and an accomplished pianist, often playing for church services during her younger years.  She was also a talented stained glass artist and designer of residential homes.  She and her husband built speculation residential homes and remodels from 1959 to 2009.  Joanne also attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania for a degree in Education.

 

She was an avid bird watcher and a dog and horse lover, supporting many animal rescue organizations.


Joanne is survived by three of her four children:  David R. Raybuck of Emlenton; Diane R. Raybuck of Akron, Ohio, and Jeffrey D. Raybuck and his wife, Julie, of Sligo; two grand-daughters: Rachel Raybuck of Sligo and Tori Raybuck of Knox; one grandson, Dustin Sams of Sligo; one great grandson, Carter and a great grand-daughter, Peyton.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jarrod D. Raybuck, of Shippenville, who passed away last June and her brothers, Charles D. Sweet of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Richard R. Sweet of Kent, Ohio.


A private family service and burial will be held.


Interment will take place at the Starr Cemetery in Ninevah, Ashland Township, Clarion County.


Memorial contributions may be given in the name of Nina Joanne Raybuck to the Clarion Forest Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 271 Perkins Rd, Clarion, PA 16214.
