Richard Cuvier “Dick” Kline, age 82, of Knox, passed away Sunday evening, May 7, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.

     Born June 1, 1934 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Cuvier and Helen Kooman Kline.  He was a graduate of the White Memorial High School in Knox.

     Dick married the former Donna Best on November 6, 1954 and she survives.

    He was the owner and operator of Kline Enterprises, a prominent Clarion County dairy farm.

    Dick was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a past member of the Clarion-Venango Holstein Association, Clarion County and Pennsylvania Farms Bureaus; past board member of the FFA of Keystone High School and spent 25 years with Clarion County Conservation District.

     He had great love for family and farming.

     Dick is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons:  Richard Jeffrey Kline and wife, Paula and Todd Alan Kline and wife, Catherine, all of Knox; two daughters:  Vicky Sue Walters and husband, Don, of Knox and Linda Jean Kline of Brookville.

    Also surviving are eight grandchildren:  Chad Smith, Melissa Strang, Nicole Kerle, Lauren Smith, Joel Kerle, Joshua Kline, Jacob Kline and Audrey Kline and three great grandchildren:  Aaryn Kline, Ryker Kerle and Eloise Strang.

     In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Kline.

     Family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the William N.  Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at St.  Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1051 Twin Church Road, Knox.

     Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in the church with Reverend Karen Parsh and Reverend Ken Tack officiating over the services.

      Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Union Cemetery.
