Charles Leroy Sherry, age 73, of New Bethlehem, passed away Thursday morning December 13, 2018 at the Shippenville Health Care Center.
Born April 20, 1945 in Porter Township, Clarion County, he was a son of the late Clifton and Mary Brocious Sherry.
Chuck was a heavy equipment operator for various coal and construction companies in the area.
He was a member of the Seminole Road and Gun Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Chuck was a lover of animals and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, the former, Catherine Kast; one son, Ryan Sherry and his wife, Terri, of Fairmount City; two daughters: Jody Sherry of Shippenville and Holly Bish and her husband, Todd, of New Bethlehem; five grandchildren: Reagan Bish, Chase Bish, Ty Sherry, Isabella Scott and Elizabeth Scott.
Chuck is also survived by two brothers, Guy Sherry and wife, Jewell and Clifton Sherry, Jr. and wife, Elaine, all of New Bethlehem and two sisters, Judy Taylor of Wampum and Margie Tripodi and husband, Lou, of Shippenville.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by four sisters: Dorothy Miller, Lois Sherry, Ruth Cramer and Ruby Sherry and three brothers: James, Fred and Homer Sherry.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Harold Crawford officiating.
