Cheri L. “Toots” Nebinski, age 65, of Knox, passed away Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 following a lengthy illness.
Born April 15, 1953 in Oil City, she was the daughter of Evelyn J. Campbell Williams of Sligo and the late Edward C. Williams.
Cheri graduated from Keystone High School in 1971.
On June 2, 1973, in the St. Michael Church in Emlenton, she married William Nebinski and he survives.
Cheri was the former Secretary/Treasurer and Tax Collector for Knox Borough and held those positions until she and her husband bought Tom’s Sales and Service in Shippenville.
She was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church.
Cheri enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother: husband, Bill: a daughter, Erika Boocks and her husband, Jeremy, of Cranberry; a son, William C. Nebinski of Warren; five grandchildren: Casey Mullooly, Lilyah Nebinski, Alex Nebinski, Will Nebinski and Ryen Boocks.
Cheri is also survived by two brothers: E. David Williams and his wife, Rose and Edward Williams and his wife, Nancy; Sister-in-law, Dee Taylor (Dan Goodman); Brother-in-law, Chuck Cheke and wife, Tracy and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Alex and Toni Cheke.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, in the funeral home with Reverend Randy Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain officiating.
Interment will follow in the Knox Union Cemetery.
