Christina L. Snyder, 94, a resident of Highland Oaks in Clarion, passed away Monday morning, February 25, 2019.
Born at home October 17, 1924 in Beaver Township, Clarion County, Chris was the daughter of Vira Leona Hook Altman and Reuben Melvin Altman, the third of eleven children.
On October 23, 1953, she married Chalmer Webster Snyder who preceded her in death August 15, 2002.
Chris retired from the Knox Glass Plant in 1986.
She enjoyed reading, crafting, sewing, crocheting, and watching television.
Chris is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Bob) Hannold of Shippenville, and Tam (Thierry) Delorme of Jefferson, Ohio; a favorite grandson, Devin (Maria) Hannold of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and a favorite granddaughter, Isabelle Delorme of Jefferson, Ohio.
Also surviving are four sisters; Dorothy Brosius of Shippenville, Lois Miller of Strattanville, Faye Rex of Shippenville, and Delores (Bill) Krost of Thousand Oaks, California and two brothers; William Altman of Knox and Daryl (Marie) Altman of Zanesville, Ohio.
Along with her parents and husband, Chris was preceded in death by one sister Marlys Staab; three brothers, Lawrence Altman, Reuben Altman Jr., and Richard Altman.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 and from 10- 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Reverend Karen Parsh officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Knox.
