Gloria S. (Truitt) Smith

    Gloria S. Smith, age 85 of New Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday evening April 24, 2018 at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo.

    Born October 18, 1932 in Climax, she was a daughter of the late James T. And Cora Mae LaBorde Truitt.

    She married Hudson J. Smith on April 28, 1951 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2002.

    Gloria was the secretary for Dr. William C. McNeil at his New Bethlehem office.

    She was a member of the First Church of God of New Bethlehem.

    Survivors include a son, William A. Smith and his wife, Sharon, of New Bethlehem; two daughters: Pamela S. Clinger and her husband, Terry, of New Bethlehem and Lisa McAninch and her husband,Tim, of Sharpsville; grandchildren; Jayme Clinger, Jennifer Clinger and husband, Steve; Tiffany Bowser and husband, Jake;  Lindsay Smith, Shelby Ripple and his wife, Alysha; Darren McAninch, Breanna McAninch and her fiancé, Nick Redmond; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

    Gloria is also survived by two sisters: Dolores “Teet” Stewart and Winifred Boddorf and her husband, Ken.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ken Stewart.

    Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018  at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel at 233 Penn Street , New Bethlehem.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the First Church God, 418 Brian Lane, New Bethlehem with Reverend Randy Hopper, Associate Pastor of the church, officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery in Porter Township, Clarion County.

    Memorial contributions may be given in the name of Gloria S. Smith to the Redbank Valley Public Library, 720 Broad Street, New Bethlehem, PA  16242.
