Reverend Lila J. Kulp, age 82, of Knox, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at Clarion Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, April 3, 2019.
Born July 2, 1936 in Monroe, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Jennie Call Claypool.
She married Reverend Wayne A. Kulp on November 24, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2006.
Lila was the pastor of the Independent Assemblies of God in Knox.
She was a pilot and previously a paramedic for the Knox and Shippenville ambulance companies.
Survivors include a daughter, Ella Burris of Knox; three grandchildren: Robert, Scott and Christi; her ward, Stanley Whitling; a sister, Edie Barty and a brother, Les Claypool.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lila was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty J. Beck, Martha L. Altman and Judith A. Strotman and a brother, Ralph Claypool.
Family and friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Tony Collura officiating.
Interment will take place in the Venus Cemetery.
The family request that no flowers be sent due to severe allergies.
