Louise Franklin passed away April 6, 2019. Hostess extraordinaire, she welcomed all to her folly in the woods. Tales and treats abound, she never failed to deliver. As one of eleven children, she enjoyed a childhood rich in family and community in the bountiful Western Pennsylvania countryside of Nickleville. She left home in her teens and set out upon the big cities- Philly, NYC, L.A., eventually settling in Miami. It was there that she met her pilot husband and acquired a seaplane base that shuttled to the Bahamas, off South Florida.
As time passed, the welcoming foothills of the Allegheny Mountains reached out to her where she spent her later years. She is survived by daughter, Debbie (Mark), granddaughters, Summer and Sky, brother, Skip, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends and her little dog, too, Corki The Corgi.
She will be missed as she joins her tribe in the sky; Leonard, Effie, Archie, Harry, Mary, Sonny, Rose, Lu, Jennifer, and her dear Mom and Dad.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a family gathering at graveside.
If you wish, please donate to your favorite charity in remembrance of her.
