Melia S. Reddinger Strittmatter, age 62, of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Distant, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Cincinnati, following an illness.
Born November 10, 1955 in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Kitty Allen Reddinger.
She was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.S. degree in Computer Technology.
Melia was employed for 17 years by IBM, then began her own business for kitchen and home design, which she operated until the time of her death.
She was passionate about her love of God and dedicated her love and devotion to him and to the well-being of her children.
Melia enjoyed fun, family, friends, people and home decorating.
Survivors include her two children: Tyler J. Strittmatter of Cincinnati, Ohio and Erica L. Strittmatter of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one sister, Cheryl Narbeth and her husband, Paul, of San Jose, California; three brothers: Kenneth Reddinger and his wife, Jerilyn and David Reddinger and his wife, Sue, all of Limestone and Tim Reddinger and his wife, Gail, of Cranberry Township.
Melia is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Red Door Church, 1140 Smiley Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio with Tyler J. Strittmatter, son of Melia and Josh Lenon, minister of the Red Door church, as memorial speakers.
