Shirley Yvonne Over Morris, age 73, of Clarion and formerly of Knox, passed away Friday morning, October 27, 2017 at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo, following a brief illness.

     Born September 22, 1944 in Beaver Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Merle and Phyllis Wentling Over.  She was a graduate of Keystone High School.

     She married Ronald Earl Morris on December 29, 1962 and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2012.

     Shirley retired from Bon-Ton in 2010 and had previously sold real estate.

     She was a member of the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church in Knox, where she served on several boards, taught Sunday School and played the piano and organ. 

     For many years, Shirley performed with the Knox Community Theater and was one of the theater company founders. 

    She loved spending time with her family.

     Survivors include two children:  Janet Keefer and her husband, Arthur, of Parker and Robert “Bob” Morris and his friend, Kim Stephens, of Shippenville; three grandchildren:  Melissa Russell and her husband, Nathan, of Emlenton; Heather Bucholz and her husband, Michael, of Parker and Megan Dean and her husband, Rally, of Sykesville and eight great grandchildren.

    Shirley is also survived by a brother, Gary Over and his wife, Rose, of Harrisburg; two sisters:  Faye Moon of Knox and Elaine Henry of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Morris, on March 5, 2017 and an infant son.

     Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Brink officiating.

     Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Beaver Township, Clarion County.
