Terry L. Johnson-Cooney, age 70, of Emlenton, passed away Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018, at his home, following an illness.

     Born June 27, 1947 in Bradford, he was the son of the late Frank “D” Cooney and Eileen Dittman Johnson.

     He earned a bachelor of science degree at Clarion State College (CUP) and continued his education at the University of Illinois, where he earned his masters degree in communications.

   Terry worked in public relations at Illinois Bell/AT&T.

     Survivors include two sisters and a brother:  Penny C. Patterson and her husband, Larry Haynoski, of Bradford; Robin Wingard of Emlenton and Dorr “Buddy” Johnson of Emlenton.

   Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

     Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Reverend Chris Lewis officiating.

     Interment will follow at the Monroe Cemetery in Knox.
