Andrea E. Penny

Andrea E. Penny, age 72 of Shippenville, passed away August 4, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Brookville, on November 5, 1952 to Clair F. Allaman and Lois Heath Allaman.

Andrea married John D. Penny on June 27, 1970, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2017.

She was a member of the Shippenville Methodist Church and the 4H. She enjoyed baking, fishing with her husband, and she also helped kids with disabilities. 

Andrea was a 1970 graduate of Keystone High School where she was a member of the marching band. 

She is survived by four children: John Alan Penny of Shippenville, Michael David ( Nicole Lynn) Penny of Nickleville, Tricia Lynn Penny of Shippenville, and Katie Ann (Markus) McHenry of Freedom; four grandchildren: Caleb Michael Penny, Elijah David Penny, Eliana Mae McHenry, and Gabriella Rose McHenry. Also surviving are several aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Rick Allaman, and a grandson, Wesley John McHenry.

 Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

 Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Denny Barger, officiating.

 Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shippenville.
