     Barbara Lee Adams, age 85 of New Bethlehem, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 24, 2024 at her home following a period of declining health.

    Born January 19, 1939 in Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Alden and Cecelia Geary Stahlman.

    She graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 1956 and continued her education at the Nursing School of Indiana.

     Barb married Larry H. Adams on January 25, 1959 and he survives.

     She was a homemaker and a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and various other positions through the years.

     Barb was an avid reader, loved to sing, and just loved life!

     Survivors include her husband, Larry “Lum” Adams; son, Kevin (Shawn) Adams of Burke, Virginia; grandson, Nathan (Jennifer) Adams of Fairfax Station, Virginia; two great grandchildren, Camden and Easton, and two sisters, Bonnie Hawk and Patricia McKenzie.

     Barb is also survived by her son-in-law, Paul Becker of Pittsburgh; bonus daughter, Julie Evans of New Bethlehem, and caregivers, Laura Keen and Pam Rankin.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Adams on May 23, 2022 and an infant daughter.

     Family and friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 403 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

     Funeral services will follow in the church at 11 a.m., Father Samuel Bungo, parish priest at St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem, will officiate.

     Interment will take place in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant, Armstrong County.
