Benjamin J. Campbell

     Benjamin J. Campbell, age 72 of New Bethlehem, went on to be with the Lord Friday, June 5, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness.

     Born March 16, 1954, in Brookville, he was a son of the late Delroy Campbell and Lois Cathcart Campbell.  He graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 1972 and went on to attend the Merchant Marine Academy.  Following his time in the academy, he pursued a degree in geography and education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

     Ben worked for many years in construction and maintenance and later worked at Heeter Lumber Company in New Bethlehem, from which he retired.  

     Above all else, Ben cherished time spent with his family and friends.  He enjoyed working in his woodworking shop and spending time with his special dog, Trixie.

     He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his devotion to family, and his craftmanship. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. 

     Ben will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

     Survivors include his loving wife, the former Cindy Anthony, who he married on September 30, 1978; his daughter, Hannah Jenkins and her husband, Jeremiah, and two grandchildren, Emma and Benjamin.

    Ben is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Debbie) Campbell and Jack (Fran) Campbell; his sister, Susan (Lake) Kelly, and several brothers and sisters-in-law, along with nieces and nephews.

   Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem and from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Oakland Church of God, 122 Kohlersburg Road, Distant.

     Funeral services will follow in the church at 10 a.m. with Reverend Jimmy Swogger, pastor of the church, officiating.

     Interment will take place in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery in Porter Township, Clarion County.
