Bonnie E. Shreffler, age 78 of Kossuth, passed away Sunday morning, June 29, 2025 at UPMC St. Margaret, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Clarion County on November 29, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Otis E. Hurst and Alice L. Kapp Hurst. She graduated from Keystone High School in 1964.
Bonnie married Kahle L. “Pete” Shreffler on April 17, 1964, who survives.
She was the owner operator, along with her husband, of Shreffler's Snack Shack for 25 years. In her earlier years she sold Tupperware.
Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, camping, bus trips with Anderson Tours, and crocheting.
Bonnie is survived by two children: Alan (Roxie) Shreffler of Stoneboro, and Lisa (Gary) Hartman of Kossuth; Four grandchildren: Timothy (Britt) Shreffler, Natalie Hartman, Nate (Darci) Hartman, and Aimee Hartman; great grandchildren: Piper, Kahle, Braelynn, Ryder, Nash, and Ellie; one brother: Otis (Sue) Hurst Jr. of Knox, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law: Pat Wenner, Darlene Weaver, Carol Ann (Art) Beck, Joan Amsler, and Dottie Shreffler; and brother-in-law, Albert King.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ray; sisters-in-law: Shirley, Barbara, Connie, and Diane, and brothers-in-law: Larry, Dick, and Bill.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the William N. Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in the funeral home with Rev. Bernice Pippin, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Starr Cemetery.
