Carole Stover Obituary

Carole Shick Stover of Seneca and formerly of Knox

On June 5, 1953, Carole celebrated the beginning of a lifelong journey with her beloved husband, Dwight N. Stover. Their bond was a beacon of love and commitment, enduring until Dwight's passing on April 29, 2003.  Together, they managed several successful ventures spanning real estate, oil and gas, and lumber, among other business activities.

Her expansive circle of friends and family, coupled with a passion for travel to visit children and grandchildren, showcased Carole’s spirit for adventure and loving nature.  Carole was a gracious and loving individual who brought joy and kindness to all. She was also active for many years in the Red Hat Society.

Carole's faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Knox, PA, she found solace, community, and purpose. Her unwavering dedication to her church community mirrored the depth of her character and the values she instilled in her family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her daughter, Laura and Charles Rogan of Christiana, Pennsylvania; four sons, Daniel and Johanna Stover of Dorset, England, Paul Stover of Fullerton, California, Curtis and Diana Stover of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and Michael and Julie Stover of Cypress, Texas. Carole was an adored grandmother to 13 grandchildren: Jennifer Moak, Julie Rogan, Emily Rogan-Dionne, Hannah Stover-Hiles, Archie Stover, Andrew Stover, Abigail Stover, Madison Stover, Bethany Stover, Matthew Stover, Adrienne Digiammarino, Benjamin Stover, and Zoe Stover. Her legacy further extends to 7 great-grandchildren: Simon and Ryan Moak, Arlo and Miles Dionne, Ollie and Oakley Stover, and Wilbur Stover-Hiles.

While preceded in death by her sisters Joanne McNany and Betty Lipko, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Dale Stover.

Carole Stover's life was a tapestry of love, faith, and family.  Her spirit, teachings, and memories will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

In memory of Carole, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 937 Twin Church Rd, Knox, where Carole found so much comfort and joy. Reverend Barry Fillman will officiate.
