Cecelia M. “Bunny” Rhea, age 95 of the Clarion area, passed away Sunday morning, March 2, 2025 at Highland Oaks at Water Run in Clarion.
Born March 10, 1929 in Curllsville, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil McKee and Edna Mae Hepler McKee and graduated from Sligo High School in 1947.
She married Melvin Richard “Dick” Rhea on June 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1996.
Bunny a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarion and the Eastern Star.
She was a homemaker and loved to sew and quilt, and especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son: David Richard (Liz) Rhea of Ohio, New York; two daughters: Denise Rhea Greiner of Amherst, Virginia and Debra M. (John) Gruber of Shippenville, and six grandchildren: Brandy (Eric) Dasheux, Brian (Leara) Rhea, Cory Greiner, Kendall (Dustin) Pillow, J.P. (Bridget) Gruber, and Jesse (Jamie) Hughes.
Bunny is also survived by eleven great grandchildren: Wyatt, Cooper, Ryder, Corbin, Colton, Eve, Grady, Dawson, Wade, Cecelia Mae and Case.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma McCall; nephew, Kevin McCall, and a son-in-law, Michael “Red” Greiner.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in the funeral home with Reverend Wade Barto officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sligo Cemetery.
