Charleen Anne Adams, age 72 of New Bethlehem, passed away on August 12, 2025 at home after a short battle with cancer.
She was born on a military base in Okinawa, Japan on December 12, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Grey.
Charleen graduated 8th grade in Japan and later obtained a GED in the United States. She then attended cosmetology school in Kittanning.
Charleen worked as a cook at Snug Harbor restaurant and then practiced cosmetology.
She loved spending time with her family and living on the farm with her horse, dogs, cats, and hummingbirds. She saw the good in everything and admired elephants.
Charleen is survived by her husband, Johnny Mark Adams; three sons: Jake Reesman of Shippenville, Paul (Julie) Laborde of Altoona, and Shawn Garcia of Denver, CO; Her grandchildren: Izabella and Vana Lucas, Raigan Ford, Adrian and Nicolas Garcia, and Dominic Laborde; her brother, Charles Grey of Nebraska; brother-in-law, Terry Adams; niece, Michelle Adams, and a cousin, Roxann Woods Torres.
Charleen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a niece, Terrie Marie Adams.
At the request of the family, no service will be held.
