Charlotte Helen Heeter, age 95 of Knox, passed away Saturday morning, February 14, 2026, at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 7, 1930 in Sligo, she was the daughter of the late Charles William Cole and Myrtle Flo McKinney Cole.
She graduated from Sligo High School and continued her education at the West Brook Commercial Academy in Olean, New York.
Charlotte married Johnny Thomas Heeter on November 23, 1950 in the Callensburg Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2026.
She worked in the Business Department, Financial Aid Office, then Payroll Department of Clarion State College, retiring in 1991 after 38 years of service.
Charlotte was a member of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church in Knox.
Survivors include her daughter, Colette (Les) Barnett of Fredericktown, Ohio; granddaughter, Carlen (Steve) Irwin of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and great grandchildren, Knox and Claire.
In addition to her parents and husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Cole.
Family and friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2026, at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the Sligo Cemetery.
