Christine Elaine Wilson, 76 of Venus, formerly of Shippenville, passed away peacefully January 11th 2024 at her residence. The family home her parents built and that she was born in June 1st 1947. The 7th of 9 children of the late Rose and Stephen Eisenman.
Chris graduated from North Clarion High School, the Class of 1965. She then moved to Warren Pa for a job as a secretary.
She married Larry 'Lew' Wilson on June 4th 1966 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg and lived with her parents until his discharge from the Army. They shared 55 years of marriage together before he passed on January 24, 2022. After his discharge they moved to Shippenville and started a family of 3 daughters. Chris continued her job as a secretary at the Job Service in Clarion and retired from Career Link in Oil City in 2000.
She was a devoted member of St. Michael Church. The family shares the memory that the land for the church was donated by a member of the Eisenman family. She enjoyed being a part of the choir and after retirement took great pride singing for funeral masses.
Chris and Lew always dedicated time every year for a garden and canning. In earlier years they enjoyed golfing with her brother Dean. They also had a love for fishing and helping to stock the waterways in the spring for trout. She also enjoyed going for walks and birding. Starting in her high school years she especially developed a fondness for Florida and Cocoa Beach after spending the summer with her sister, Jeanette and her family. In later years and after retirement she traveled frequently to Cocoa Beach with her youngest daughter and family. After starting a family many weekends were also spent at Bemus Point and Chautauqua Lake, New York with sister Karen and family.
Time spent with her family and friends was always cherished. Her life was centered on family, holiday get togethers and her grandchildren.
Chris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Left to carry on her beautiful spirit are daughters: Renee Morgan (Bob) of Harmony, their children Adam and Krista, Leesa Eisenman (Mike) of Butler their children: Sadie Eisenman (Bruin) of Oil City and their children Atlas and Elenore, Devin Eisenman (Laura) and daughter Wilder of Oil City and Haley Eisenman of Franklin and Tricia Crivelli (Michael) of Franklin and their boys Lucas, Mason and Garret. A special memory of Chris, with the biggest smile on her face, is her holding and being with her great grandchildren, Atlas and Elenore the week before she passed away. She was fondly known as Gigi to them.
Chris is also survived by sisters: Barb Schettler of Shippenville, Jeanette Daugherty of Wilmington, North Carolina (formerly Merritt Island, Florida), Karen Masci (Joe) of Bemus Point, New York, sister in laws: Rita Eisenman of Tucson, Arizona, Linda Eisenman of Venus, Sally Eisenman of Seneca, Cheryl Stoltenberg (Dick) of Oil City, Jane Wilson of Lucinda, Anita Mason (Mike) of Knox and Coke Reisinger (Skeeter) of Lucinda.
In addition to her parents and husband, Chris was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen, Alan, Bryan, Dean, infant David and most recently Joe, infant sister Marcy and brother in laws: Joe Schettler, Tom Daugherty, Dick Wilson and Roger Wilson.
The daughters and family wish to extend a special appreciation and Thank You to her caretakers of the last two years : granddaughter Haley, Denise, Brenda, Grace, Helen, Bj, Rosie, Kandy and drivers Larry B and Larry S. Through their devotion, kindness and loving attention, Chris was able to stay comfortably and peacefully in her home.
A funeral mass to celebrate Chris will be held Friday, August 9th at 10am in the St. Michael Church in Fryburg with the Reverend Michael Polinek parish priest, serving as celebrant. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Church.
