Dallas Lee Rearick was born on May 14, 1950 on the Rearick farm in Putneyville, Pennsylvania. He passed away quietly in his home. He was in the care of the Clarion Forest VNA, Lisa Bowser and his longtime friend, Tina Hazlett.
He was the son of Verna Lee Rearick Styers and Robert Darl Rearick. His maternal grandparents were Daniel and Alice Sterner and paternal grandparents were Byron and Maza Rearick.
Proceeding him in death were his daughter, April Dawn, and his brothers, Daniel G. Rearick and William D. Miller.
Dallas leaves behind a daughter Courtney (Ben) of Georgia and Kimmy (Leon). Also surviving are grandchildren Ashton and Mya and Bentley; siblings David Rearick (Debbie) of New York, Darlene Shuster (Fred) or Virginia, Douglas Miller (Pam) of North Carolina, Pam Rearick of Ohio and Todd Rearick (Susan) of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dallas worked numerous jobs traveling to Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. He worked as a landscaper, hotel, oil fields, hauled scrap metals and Smuckers Peanut Butter Factory. He always wondered back to his loved home town of New Bethlehem, PA. This is where he chose to live his final years of life.
Dallas was a unique person. To some he wasn’t understood. But to his family he was loved and valued.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday June 7, 2025 at the New Bethlehem Cemetery.
