Daryl W. Weaver, age 87 of Knox, passed away Thursday morning, March 5, 2026, at his home following a period of declining health.
Born September 7, 1938, in Lamartine, he was a son of the late M. Wayne Weaver and Ruth Elizabeth Weeter Weaver. He was a graduate of Keystone High School.
He married the former Carol Ann Smith on September 27, 1958, in the Clarion Church of God, and she preceded him in death on November 3, 2019.
Daryl worked for Knox Glass and the Nehi Bottling Company, both in Knox, before becoming a Nationwide Insurance agent and selling insurance with his dad and brother. He retired in 2002.
He was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church, Edenburg Lodge #550 and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, taking several fishing trips to Canada with his sons.
Survivors include three children: Cheryl Ann Weaver Beichner of Coudersport, Michael Wayne Weaver of Knox, and Bradley Earl Weaver of Summerville, South Carolina; four grandsons: Hunter Weaver (Haley) of Franklin, Jesse Beichner (Gwen) of Palmyra, Virginia, James Beichner (Hillary) of Coudersport, and Ethan Weaver of South Carolina.
Daryl is also survived by six great grandchildren: Abby, Isaiah, Bethany, Declan, Rebekah and Caleb.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by granddaughters, Amanda and Kayla; brother, Robert D. Weaver; two sisters, Rhea Jean Weaver Elder and Helen Weaver Amsler, and son-in-law, Richard “Mike” Beichner.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m., in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Dill officiating.
Interment will take place in the Knox Union Cemetery.
