Dennis P. Reddinger

Dennis P. Reddinger, age 83, of Distant, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital.

Born on August 24, 1942 in Seminole, he was the son of the late Terry and Virginia Shumaker Reddinger. He graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 1960. 

He then married the late Teresa Hetrick on April 26, 1963 and she preceded him in death on September 15, 2021.

Denny was a member of the Distant Baptist Church. He owned Reddinger Coal Company and later drove truck and equipment for H.E. Fox Inc. in Distant.

He is survived by two children: a daughter Sherri (Rod) McGinnis, and a son Terry (Keli) Reddinger, both of Distant; Five grandchildren: Justin (Giulia) McGinnis of Seminole, Nicole (Ryan) Nelson of Dubois, Erica (Matt) Kunselman of Mayport, Andrew (Brooke) Reddinger of Distant, and Emma Reddinger of Punxsutawney; and three great-grandchildren: Ethan Nelson, and Hudson and Bowen Reddinger. 

Denny was preceded in death by his wife Teresa, sister Marsha Childers, grandson Ben Hunsberger, and a nephew Shawn Watson. 

A private family service will be held with Pastor David Westover officiating. 

The family wishes to thank Jodie Strauser and the staff at Jefferson Court, and the third floor staff at Brookville Hospital.
