Obituary

     Donald R. Chambers, age 73 of Cranberry passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side, after being stricken with a sudden illness.

     Born July 7, 1950 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Wayne and Bertha Beals Chambers of Kossuth.

     He graduated from Keystone High School in 1969 and attended trade school in Pittsburgh after graduation.

    Don worked for Hirsch Meats in Kossuth for 46 years, retiring in 2016.

    He attended the Knox United Methodist Church and was a regular at their morning coffee sessions.

    Don enjoyed motorcycle trips, working on his classic cars, and helping his friends and neighbors whenever he could.

    Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Julie Seth Chambers; daughter, Janelle Chambers and her husband, Bret Sloan, of Shippenville; son, Eric Chambers and his wife, Jordin, of Rimersburg, and three grandchildren, which he adored: Mercedees and Jasper Chambers of Rimersburg and Milo Sloan of Shippenville.

     Don is also survived by his siblings: Ken Chambers and his wife, Reverend Linda Chambers, of Punxsutawney; Helen Best and her husband, Wayne, of Shippenville, and Lois McMarlin and her husband, Zane, of Tionesta; aunt, Violet Morrison of Seneca; sister-in-law, Kay Moore and her husband, Floyd, of Cadiz, Ohio; and brothers-in-law, Reverend Dr. John Seth and his wife, Susan, of Franklin;  Dave Seth and his wife, Shelley, of Emlenton and Bill Seth and his wife, Carolina, of Leesburg, Virginia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Bill and Pat Seth and step mother-in-law, Mary Ann Seth.

     Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the Knox United Methodist Church, 9729 Route 338, Knox.

     A memorial service will follow at Noon in the church with Reverend Wade Barto, pastor of the church, officiating.  A meal and a time of followship will follow the service.

     Interment will take place in the Ashland Cemetery in Clarion County.
