Franklin Kenton Shoup, age 86 of Knox, passed away July 10, 2023 at the Clarion Hospital.
Born December 24, 1936, he was a son of the late Leo Wilson Shoup and Avanell Weller Shoup
He married Judith Elaine Johnston on July 11,1964, who preceded him in death on September 7, 2019.
Frank was a great man, hard worker, and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was very talented and loved his music, entertaining many, and performed in his local band the 2+2 along with brother Tom and friends.
He helped the local lower Elk City community by clearing snow from driveways and doing odd jobs for years when needed.
Frank was an Air Force veteran and retired from the Owens-Illinois glass containers manufacturing plant in Clarion.
Survivors include his son, Randy Lee Shoup and his wife, Melissa, of Springfield, Georgia; four granddaughters: Tristen Shoup, Kayla Marquez; Nikita Hutchinson and Megan Wells.
He is also survived by eight great grandchildren: Jaxson, Aaden, Killian, Gabriel, Christian, Anthony, Asher and Damian; five brothers James, Merrill, Jerry, Leland and Thomas, and three sisters, Bonnie, Lenore and Susan.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by sister, Angela Carozza.
At Frank’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
Interment will take place in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
