Gary L. Lawhead

Gary L. Lawhead, age 72 of Franklin, passed away August 9, 2025 at Hamot Hospital in Erie following a lengthy illness.

He was born on June 14, 1953 at Clearfield Hospital, he was the son of Theryll Lawhead and Annamarie Capatch Lawhead. Gary was married to Tina Gilpin  

Gary graduated from Clearfield High School in the class of 1971. He worked numerous jobs including The Best Western in Clearfield, Pa.

He enjoyed auctions and working on houses. He also enjoyed driving his pride and joy, a Chevy Camaro.

Gary is survived by his mother Annamarie (Capatch Lawhead) Welch, his wife Tina Gilpin-Lawhead, two sisters; Cindy (Dan) Straub, and Kim (Tim) Eyerly, Two sons; Chad Lawhead, and Pascal (Kristi) Lawhead, a daughter; Jodi Lawhead, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his very special uncle Jim Capatch.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Grandparents, and a very special aunt Shelia.

Per the Families request there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Internment will take place at the Perry Chapel Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of William N. Rupert Mortuary Inc. in Knox, Pa.
