Gene A. Walker, age 80 of Seneca, passed away on December 26, 2025, at home while surrounded by family, following a brief illness.
Born October 18, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles and Marjorie Walker.
Gene was an over-the-road/owner-operator, truck driver until his retirement.
He was a die-hard Steelers fan and enjoyed detailing his truck and vehicles in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his dog, Molly.
Survivors include his companion of 28 years, Regina “Gina” Stier; sons: Blake Walker (Courtney) and children, Landin and Evan; James Buchanan and daughter, Elizabeth, and Tim Holley (Megan) and children, Jake, Josh and Jayson; daughters: April Talamantes (Steve) and children, Joe, Ricky, Armando, Marie and Logan; Holli Hendrix and children, Alexis, Aaron, Eva and Andrew, and Amanda Cheathams and son, Tyler.
Gene is also survived by his sister, Barb Eisenhauer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc. of Knox.
