On the 7th of December 2024, Geraldine “Jerri” Beary McCauley joined her husband Lee “Dick” in Heaven. She was formerly from the Fryburg Area.
She was born July 10, 1935 at the Beary Homestead to Bernadine Courson Beary and Edward Beary.
On July 14, 1956 she married Lee McCauley of Fryburg, in the St. Michael’s Church. They enjoyed nearly 33 years of marriage until Dick’s passing on February 4, 1989.
Jerri remained in the home which they built together until May of 2022. She then moved to Ligonier to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bob Cooper and had many happy days there with her family. She especially enjoyed watching the wildlife “on the Ridge”!
She spent the majority of her employment at the Clarion Clipper Restaurant, where she made many friends. Being the best waitress she could be was always very important to her.
Jerri loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas and the beach. She always enjoyed living in the Fryburg area, sharing her time with many relatives and friends, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Her spunkiness and strength carried her through her last days!
Among Jerri’s many friends was Margaret “Marge” Karg and family; neighbors for 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Robert) Cooper; granddaughter, Natalie (Jake); grandson Clint; great granddaughter, Nora; sister, Dolores Merryman; sisters-in-law, Donna Berry and Diane McCauley, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Williard (Linda) Beary; brother-in-law, James Merryman, and nephews, Marty Merryman, Williard Jr. and Donald Beary.
She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law: Cletus (Jane), James (Shirley), Clifford (Betty), Floyd and Paul McCauley, and sisters-in-law: Ruth (Earl) Beary, Rita (Ron) Banner, Gertrude (Howard) Sanner and Clara (Leo) Siegel.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Amber, Connie and Allie, whom they refer to as our “Angels”! Also, thank you to the other members of the Excela Hospice staff along with Dr. Ronald Jakubek and staff.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 19200 Route 208, Fryburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 in the St. Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg. Father Cory Pius will serve as celebrant.
