James Knight Obituary

     James Allen Knight, age 73 of Knox, passed away Saturday morning, December 20, 2025, at his home following a brief illness.

     Born June 28, 1952 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Walter Knight and Joye Bauer Knight, and was a graduate of Keystone High School in the class of 1971.

    He was a veteran of the United States Army.

    Jim was a heavy equipment salesman for a number of years and retired as a heavy equipment mechanic.

     He was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church and the Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox, and was an honorary member of the Shippenville/Elk Volunteer Fire Department.

     Jim enjoyed hunting and wintering in Florida.

     Survivors include daughter, Jamie Ann Baker of Shippenville; sons: Michael James (Tuesday) Knight and Charles Allen (Jennifer) Knight, both of Shippenville, and Robert Lee (Heather) Knight of Knox; eight grandchildren: Jackson Baker, Kennedy Knight, Harvey Knight, Grace Baker, Kimberlee Knight, Brody Knight, Kyle Knight and Ryleigh Knight; brother, Mark (Cindy) Knight, and sister, Penny Knight, both of Knox.

     Jim is also survived by his significant other, Debra Hartman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Family and friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

     Military Honors will be accorded at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the funeral home by the Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox.

    Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home with Reverend Wade Barto, pastor of the Knox United Methodist Church, officiating.

     Interment will follow at the Starr Cemetery in Ninevah.
