Jean Ellen Flowers Graff, age 89 of Knox, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024 at her home after enduring failing health for some time. She passed on quietly with her family members present.
Born on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1935 in Berwick, she was the daughter of Karl and Jeanette Kinkead Flowers, who are deceased. She graduated Salutatorian from Tionesta High School, and married Fred A. Graff, an Eagle Scout and farmer from Knox.
In addition to her husband, two daughters, Elizabeth Sue (David) Mays and Janis Lynn Hook, both of Knox, survive, along with grandchildren: Justin Mays, wife Hope, of Knox; Brittany Mays, wife Anneke Chewning, of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Marc and Todd Hook, both of Richmond, Virginia; great grandchildren: Reagan Mays, Saydee Mays and Justin Mays II, all of Knox, and a brother, David Flowers of Columbus, Ohio and his children, Amy of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Andrew, and wife Margret, of Nashville, Tennessee.
Having been organist and choir director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years, Jean was also active in the Knox Community Choir and Knox Civic Club, as well as the Knox Community Theater.
There will be no calling hours.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024 in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1051 Twin Church Road, Knox.
Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Union Cemetery.
