John “Barry” Hart, Sr., age 79, of Cranberry, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home following a sudden illness.
Born June 10, 1942, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lorena Adeline Hart and graduated from Cranberry High School in 1960.
He retired as a forklift operator for Seneca Hardwood Lumber Company.
Barry married the former Carol Kellogg on October 12, 1963, and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2017.
He enjoyed woodworking and watching softball games and Pirates baseball.
Barry loved mowing on his John Deere.
Survivors include a son, John Hart, Jr. of Seneca; two brothers: Doug Hart and his wife, Millie, of Cranberry and Brad Hart of Seneca.
Barry is also survived by two sisters, Karen Kuhn of Delaware and Nancy Duig of Cochranton.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Frederick Gary Hart.
Family and friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Reverend Wade Barto officiating.
Interment will take at the Rockland Cemetery, Venango County.
