Kirk Anthony Niederriter, age 50 of Hilliards, formerly of Fryburg, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at home.
Born June 17, 1974 in Clarion, he was a son of Richard Niederriter and the late Kathleen Cohlhepp Niederriter.
Kirk married the former Tricia Garver on October 10, 2009 and she survives.
He was a 1993 graduate of Cranberry High School and was a former member of the St. Michael Church in Fryburg and the Parker Allegheny Canby Masonic Lodge #521. He also served in the United States Navy in the Persian Gulf War.
Kirk worked for Witherup Fabrication as a Boiler Maker. He enjoyed fishing, shooting his bow, nature, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his father Richard Niederriter of Venus, two sons: Steven Niederriter of Sandy Lake, and Derek Niederriter of Hilliards. One daughter: Anna Niederriter of Butler; brother, Eric N. (Valerie) Niederriter of Oil City; two nephews: Logan and Bryan of Pittsburgh, and a stepson, Logan Lasher of North Carolina.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Niederriter, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 19200 Route 208, Fryburg. The Masonic Lodge will hold a service in the funeral home at 6 p.m.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Clarion American Legion Post #066 at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will immediately follow with Deacon Michael Dittman officiating.
