Llewellyn B. Wells

     Llewellyn B. “Lee” “Wink” Wells, age 84 of Corsica, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, August 12, 2023, at his home following an illness.

     Born at home on November 23, 1938 in North Corners, Clarion Township, Clarion County, he was a son of the late Dorsey and Hazel Rossey Wells.

     He was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and the Pennsylvania State Police Academy.

    Lee was a member of the Pennsylvania State Police for 17 years and worked as an undercover agent.  He worked for many years as an insurance adjuster for Prudential and a deputy sheriff for Jefferson County.  As a deputy sheriff he met many people. He always treated prisoners well, giving them respect as human beings.

     He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Corsica and attended the Cornerstone Church of Clarion until his illness.

    Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and fun trips to the casino. He loved playing with the grandkids and great grandkid, and loved his horse, Gabe, and his special dogs.

     Survivors include his wife, the former Kathy Thomas, who he married in 1985; five children: Leigh Ann Wells, Dawn Wells (Joe) and Eric Wells, all of Greensburg; Rachael Myers of Brookville and Jessie Davis (James) of Corsica, and six grandchildren: Cayla White and Zoe Klawuhn, both of Brookville; Bryce Klawuhn of Corsica, Mason Wells of Greensburg, and Djamolodine Shaffer and Adriane Shaffer, both of Brookville.

     Lee is also survived by three great grandchildren, Zaine Wilmouth and Tristan and Gavin Dunlap; sisters-in laws, April (Scott) and Georgie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wayland and Donald Wells and sister, Betty Foust.

     Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Wednesday August 16, 2023 at the Cornerstone Church of Clarion, 3655 East End Road, Shippenville.

    Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the church with Reverend Phillip Thomas officiating.

     Interment will take place at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Corsica.
