A graduate of Redbank Valley High School, Liz was a devout member of Springside Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She devoted much of her time to caring for others, offering her love, support, and generosity to everyone around her.
Liz was a remarkable woman. She was instantly lovable, thoughtful, kind, and deeply creative. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished above all else. She poured her heart into everything she did, whether it was crafting, sewing, traveling with her beloved husband, or spending time at the pond on the family farm where she was raised. Her warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Randall Rearick; her children, Gregory Rearick (Becky) and Lisa Shreckengost (Lane); and her granddaughters, Leah Shreckengost and Amy Shreckengost-Bires (Kevin). Liz also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, siblings-in-law, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Loyal “Flap” and Della Henderson; her siblings Clark Henderson (Thelma), Jane Kline (Pete), and Lucy Mae Ortz (Blair); her in-laws, Forrest "Heck" and Helen Rearick and her siblings-in-law: Frank Rearick, Mary Chestnut, Forrest “Fud” Rearick Jr., and John “Fuzz” Rearick.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed.
