Maxine A. Andrews

Maxine A. Andrews, 71, of New Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024 at Clarion Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1952 in Fairmount City, PA; the daughter of Clifton W. and Morna Mae (Brown) Ditty.

Maxine was a life-long resident of the Clarion area and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Sligo. She enjoyed playing bingo, baking, camping, fishing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Zellefrow and fiancé, James Clemens,  and Cindy Walters, all of New Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Olivia Fancher, Amidi Gamble (Alec Gamble), Austin Walters, and Christian Wiant; great-grandchildren, Odin Shelenberger, Leila Gamble, Lindsey Gamble, and Brooklynn Fancher; and a brother, Randon Ditty and wife, Sandra of Hawthorn.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles H. Andrews, whom she married on Aug. 14, 1971 and who passed away on May 21, 2021; a brother, Leroy Harvey Ditty; and her sister, Nancy Andrews.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 4-6 PM at the Rupert Funeral Home Chapel, 233 Penn St. New Bethlehem, 16242. Funeral service will follow at 6 PM from the funeral home, with the Rev. Rob Hranicky officiating.
