Patricia Amsler Obituary

     Patricia A. Amsler passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Clarion Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, at the age of 88 years old.

    She was born on May 19, 1937 to Sherill and Geraldine (Zeigler) Hartzell. She graduated from North Clarion High School in 1955. She married to Donald (Butch) Amsler on March 23, 1956

     Patricia loved going on family trips to Canada, playing cards with best friends Hank and Rosie Hargenrader, mowing her yard, and she took great pride in her plants and flower gardens. Pat and Butch love to travel to Florida to be snowbirds for two or three months during the winter.  Patricia also enjoyed going on shopping trips with her daughters 

     She worked at North Clarion Cafeteria for several years.  She was also a stay-at-home mom.

     Patricia is survived by her four children. Penny (Randy) Weaver, Tammy (Michael) Karg, Donald (Kelley) Amsler and Bridgette (James) Roberts. 

     She was also survived by six grandchildren, Brent Weaver, Seth Karg, Nicole Karg, Hannah Roberts, Tessa Roberts, and Conner Amsler. Also, two great grandchildren, Braedin Weaver and Juliette Karg.

      Patricia is survived by her two brothers: John (Ruth) Hartzell and Gary Hartzell and his girlfriend Tammy Ball. Brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Patricia Amsler, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

    She was proceeded in death by her husband, Donald (Butch) Amsler, parents Sherill and Geraldine Hartzell, and in-laws, Clair (Ted) and Vivian Amsler.

     The family would like to thank the Clarion Rehabilitation and Nursing facility and Aseara Care Hospice for the loving care they gave to their mother during her stay and her finals days. They would also like to thank her at home care providers, Kim Girts, Pam Dolby, Nan Schupp and Madison Moore. Great memories and friendships were made not only with Patricia, but also with her family.  Their kindness, compassion and special care allowed her to be home where she could enjoy her family and friends.

     A small celebration of life, for close family and friends, will be held at the family’s discretion at a later date.
