Robert D. Lineman, age 91 of Cranberry, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at
Sugar Creek Station, following a period of declining health.
He was born in Maple Shade on January 23, 1934, and was a son of the late William R.
“Jack” Lineman and Grace M. Smith Lineman.
Robert married Beverly A. Bly on July 6, 1955, and she preceded him in death on
February 23, 2023.
He worked as an operator for Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Oil City for 29 years before
retiring, and was a member of the Van Methodist Church and the Glass Blowers Union.
Robert loved to work on antique cars and rebuildable wrecks with his son at the shop.
He is survived by four children: Dixie Denny of Titusville, Dennis (Linda) Lineman of
Florida, Terri Ann Melat of Oil City, and Gary (Theresa) Lineman of Cranberry; four
grandchildren: Natasha, Justin, Janyl, and Evan, and six great grandchildren: Nathan,
Matthew, Alex, Zachery, Lochlan, and Presley.
Robert is also survived by a brother, Rudolf “Jack” (Donna) Lineman, and three sisters:
Carol Jarrett, Mary Ann Lineman (Rich), and Patricia Lineman.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Charlie,
Ted, Tom, and Ray.
Per the family’s request, private graveside services will be held at Rockland Cemetery
on Friday September 19, 2025 at 1p.m.
