Robert C. Hurrelbrink, age 79 of Knox, died unexpectedly following a sudden illness on Sunday evening, January 19, 2025.
Born July 18, 1945 at home in Knox, he was a son of the late Charles Hurrelbrink and Minnie Whitmore Hurrelbrink.
Immediately following graduation from Keystone High School in 1963, he joined the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Era as an Airborne Infantryman.
Robert married the former Emmy L. Hirsch Beebe on August 9, 1968, who survives.
He owned and operated Hurrelbrink Well Service for over 50 years.
Robert was an active member of the NRA and was also a member of the Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox. He enjoyed hunting and loved to tinker in his garage out back.
He is survived by his two sons: Timothy (Theresa) Hurrelbrink and Daniel (Jayme) Hurrelbrink; stepson, Thomas (Theresa) Beebe, and step daughter, Sharyn Cochran, all of Kossuth; five grandchildren: Logan (Jolene) Hurrelbrink, Luke Hurrelbrink and fiancé Aliah, Landon Hurrelbrink and girlfriend Breann, Danica (Dawson) Wilson, and Danae (Alex) Rapp; two step grandchildren: Kayla Clark and Logan Shady and his fiancé Emmali; two great grandchildren: Ava and Alaina, and four step great grandchildren: Westyn, Kobey, Claytyn, and Halley.
Robert is also survived by his sister, Linda Vagts of Tennessee; brother, Max (Mary) Hurrelbrink of Knox, and a sister-in-law, Barb Hurrelbrink of Emlenton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Hurrelbrink, and a son-in-law, Cecil Cochran.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Cornerstone Stone Church of Clarion, 3655 East End Rd, Shippenville, PA 16254.
Military honors will be accorded at 11 a.m. Friday at the church by the Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox.
Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Larry Aldrich officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Petersburg Cemetery.
