Robert Joseph Truitt

Robert Joseph “Joe” Truitt, age 75 of Fairmount City, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2025 at home. 

He was born on November 4, 1950 to the late Howard and Kathryn Darr Truitt.

Joe was co-owner of Truitt Brothers Trucking, where he drove truck under the CB handle of “Red Baron.” He was a member of the New Bethlehem V.F.W. and Eagles Club. 

He is survived by two brothers: Ron (Tess) Truitt of Fairmount City and Bill Truitt of Mayport; Two sisters: Melinda (Michael) Henry of Fairmount City and Karen (Terry) Wolf of Brookville; an aunt Alberta Jean Connor; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 11 am to 3 pm Monday December 22, 2025, with a funeral service to follow at 3 pm at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn St, New Bethlehem, PA 16242. Reverend Bob Ryver will officiate the service. 

Interment will take place in the North Freedom Cemetery. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rupert Funeral Home & Cremation Service in New Bethlehem.
