Rowena "Renny" (Mechling) Tosh

     Rowena “Renny” Tosh, age 76 of New Bethlehem, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family and friends, on Tuesday morning, May 14, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital, following a short illness.

      Born May 26, 1947 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Mechling and Bonnie Browell Mechling of Tidal and was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School.

     She married Gerald “Jerry” Tosh on February 3, 1967 and he preceded her in death on February 24, 1990.

    Renny worked for the Tosh Agency and the Clarion County Courthouse, and was also a homemaker.

     She loved being with her grandchildren, as they were her pride and joy.  She also loved traveling, the beach, shopping and playing cards.

    Renny was a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and the New Bethlehem Moose Lodge.

    Survivors include two sons: Wesley Tosh and wife, Sally, of New Bethlehem and Scott Tosh and his companion, Debbie Huffman, of Shippenville; grandchildren: Jordan Tosh and Kolby Tosh, and brother, Doug Mechling and his wife, Jennifer, of Kittanning.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Renny was preceded in death by her companion, Larry Crawford, and her granddaughter, Nicole Amundson.

     Family and friends will be received from Noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

     A memorial service will follow 3 p.m. Sunday at the New Bethlehem First Fellowship Church, 234 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.
