Sherri Ann Kapp, age 66 of Knox, passed away early Monday morning, January 5, 2026, at her home following an illness.
Born May 4, 1959 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late R.L. “Pete” Stewart and Margaret “Peg” Schruers Stewart Fulton.
She graduated from Keystone High School in 1977 and continued her education at the Sharon School of Nursing, graduating in 1980.
Sherri married Michael I. Kapp on May 16, 1981 and he survives.
She retired after 25 years as a registered nurse with the Clarion/Forest VNA, and was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church.
Sherri enjoyed eating lunch with the VNA girls, horseback riding, her wiener dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; sons: Bradley (Karla Shaffer) Kapp of Indiana and Jordan Kapp of Lexington, North Carolina; grandson, Maxwell; granddaughter, Lydia; sister, Kimbery (Bryan) Exley of Knox; step-brothers: Larry (Connie) Fulton and Steve (Becky) Fulton, both of Knox, and a step-sister, Linda Rimer of Chicora.
Sherri is also survived by her nephew and niece, Connor and Leah Exley; brother-in-law, Robert (Sandi) Kapp of Cowensville, and special friends, Randy and Cindy Bell of Strattanville.
In addition to her parents and step-father, Judd Fulton, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Ann Kapp; step-sister, Alice Fulton and step-brother, Frank Rimer.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Knox United Methodist Church, 9729 Route 338, Knox.
Funeral services take place in the church at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Reverend Wade Barto, pastor of the Knox United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Knox Union Cemetery.
