Timothy Eugene Ortz

     Timothy Eugene Ortz, age 67 of New Bethlehem, passed away early Monday morning, October 27, 2025, at his home.

     Born September 29, 1958 in Clarion, he was a son of the late Blair M. Ortz and Lucy Mae Henderson Ortz. Tim graduated in 1977 from Redbank Valley High School.

     On May 27, 1982, he married the former Michelle Dwyer and she survives.

     Tim enjoyed grilling, fishing, and going to car shows. 

     He was an avid hunter and shared his love of wildlife and the outdoors with his daughters and grandchildren. Tim was a mechanic by trade and spent a lot of time doing vehicle maintenance and repairs for himself and his family.  In more recent years, he especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

     In addition to his wife, Michelle, Tim is survived by his daughters: Amanda Ortz of New Bethlehem, Carla Loughner of Parker and Sadie (Joseph) Wise of Bradford; brother, Thomas Ortz of Distant; sisters: Della Young of Distant and Anita (John) Dugan of Kittanning, and grandchildren: Alexis (David) Moody, Gavin Ortz, Sean Lazarevic, Eva Droddy, Kylian Droddy, Lillie Droddy, Jasmin Droddy, Laney Loughner and Nova Wise.

     Tim is also survived by great grandchildren, Asher Gerald Ortz and Jasper Ortz; mother-in-law, Nancy Poe of Florida and brother-in-law, Doug Aaron of Punxsutawney.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Aaron; brother-in-law, Terry Young, and father-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Dwyer.

     Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, 233 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

    A blessing will be given at 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home, by Father Samuel Bungo, along with a time of sharing and remembering.

    A private interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles Cemetery.
