Georgie Anna Rush, age 69, of Sligo and formerly of Knox, passed away Saturday morning October 8, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, following a brief illness.

    Born April 19, 1947 in Callensburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Josephine Fleming Rush.

    She was a very talented musician, playing at various churches throughout the area.

    Georgie Anna enjoyed playing her music for the residence at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center during her stay there.

    Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Ave., Knox.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the funeral home with the Reverends Evan and Bernice Pippin officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Church Hill Cemetery.
