Thomas Fair, age 63, of Knox, passed away Monday evening, December 5, 2016 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

     Born August 28, 1953 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Virginia Karadeema Sayers and the late Bernard Fair.

     Thomas was a heavy-duty truck mechanic for various trucking companies throughout the area.

     Survivors include his mother, Virginia Sayers of Turkey City; one son, Thomas Fair of Punxsutawney and two daughters:  Heather Neely and her husband, Matt, of Tionesta and Krista Fair of Punxsutawney.

    Thomas is also survived by a granddaughter, Sarah Neely; one brother, Mark Fair of Emlenton and a sister, Dona Lin Kelley of Plano, Texas.

     In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Maap and Janis Gerner.

     At Thomas’ request, there will be no calling hours.

     A memorial service will be held on a later date.

     Arrangements are under the direction of the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc. of Knox.
